NICOLAS RIEUSSEC: MONTBLANC MONOPUSHER CHRONOGRAPH STAR
Nicolas Rieussec is one of the famous inventors of the chronograph mechanism. The chronograph in a wristwatch today uses hands, sub dials, rotating discs, retrograde displays and others to display elapsed time.
Montblanc introduces a mono-pusher chronograph which uses an in-house movement and has obtained rights to use the name Nicolas Rieussec, hence the name of this piece.
This movement originates from Montblanc itself and forms a key part of Montblanc’s strategy. That alone may be enough to draw the attention of collectors.
The watch can reserve power for 72 hours through twin barrels including a special mono-pusher at 8 o’clock and currently available with a self-wind caliber. If you want to have one for your own, it is only available in rose gold. For water resistant it can resistant up to 30 meters.
